Obadinah Heavner began her illustration career in Norway, where her clients consistently requested variety and innovation. When she returned to the U.S., Obadinah had developed a range of distinct styles, each having a particular appeal to her clients. After 20 years as a professional illustrator, Obadinah has illustrated several books in paint, pencil or clay, as well as created the storybook illustrations for the Nile Spice cups of soup packaging.
Obadinah: "I create a music playlist to match the mood of illustration for each project. I love my friends and family, extreme gardening, and walks in the nearby woods with my husband Jack. Oh, and I relish taking up to an hour to eat one bag of Peanut M & M's while I work."
